Teen injured in Leighton shooting, 1 in custody

LEIGHTON, AL 

Colbert County deputies are investigating a shooting which injured a teenager.

A shooting was reported before 9:30 p.m. in the area of Jarmon Way in Leighton.

Officials said one teenager was injured in the shooting and that one person is in custody being held for investigation.

Leighton police were also at the scene.

According to sources, the victim was flown to Huntsville Hospital and then flown to Birmingham. They say the teen is in critical but stable condition.
